  • More mathematics fun today! Tsui-mei's Math 3 student Ajaye, is satisfied after using the Desmos Graphing Calculator to check his inverse function work. 📈📉

  • ENCSD students attended the Finding Your Steps workshop to find out how they can keep moving forward in transition planning from high school with a statewide community of resources and supports available to them in order to turn their goals into realities. 👣

  • Fallon's class took a field trip yesterday, to the We Rock the Spectrum Kid's Gym! 🤸‍♀️

  • Today, middle school math students practiced calculating speed by participating in a Turkey Drop Challenge. The challenge required students to design two different methods to get their paper turkeys to the ground from a 16-foot drop using only the materials provided. The first part of the challenge was to make their turkeys descend as slowly as possible. They then had to make modifications to get them to drop as fast as possible.  🦃

  • Our middle school VEX IQ team, The Three Musketeers, went to Wake Tech yesterday for a scrimmage event. They enjoyed meeting new teams and being able to practice their skills to help them prepare for this year's competition. We are excited to see what the rest of the season will bring for this determined team! 🐝💚💛🐝

  • The Dietary staff celebrated September, October, and November Birthdays with delicious cupcakes and ice cream in the cafeteria today! Happy Birthday y'all! 🎂🍦🎁🎉

  • Cranberry Nutrition Facts

    A 1-cup serving of raw cranberries contains 46 calories, 12g of carbohydrates, 3.6g of fiber, 0.5g of protein, and 0.1g of fat. Cranberries are a good source of vitamin C and manganese.

  • This morning, the students attended the Awards Ceremony for the first 9 weeks of school. Awards were given to students with grades in the range of 90 to 100 (Honor Roll A), grades in the range of 80 to 100 (Honor Roll AB), and for perfect attendance. Congratulations everyone!

  • The middle school, career exploration class, used powered drills and saws to build birdhouses.🐦🪶🪺

  • Join us for our Homecoming events on Saturday December 9th!

    There will be both Alumni Women’s and Alumni Men’s basketball games and the ENCSD High School Boys HC Basketball game against NCSD which has a $5 ticket price.  The highlight of our ENCSD Homecoming will be a special event on the football field, the Sports Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Ceremony, and the 1983 Girls N.C. 1-A State Champions presentation of rings.

  • The Cafeteria had a Spooky Extravaganza on Halloween with spooky foods! The dietary staff really makes lunch time fun!

  • The ENCSD Halloween Parade was a hit with the students and staff! This year we had a theme of dressing up as the candies we were passing out. See if you recognize what candy costumes there were!

  • We are FALLing for these works of art created using a variety of tools, media, and processes...painted paper, collage, drawing, marbled paper, crayon resist, glue line drawing, watercolor, and paper weaving.

  • Today we celebrated the coming of Autumn with our Fall Festival🍁🍂. The students played games, painted pumpkins🧅, made crafts, got their faces painted, got treats, and enjoyed a hay ride!👩‍🌾

  • Who's got talent? ENCSD has talent! 

    ECAC's Youth Advisory Team selected Hieu L. and  Eduardo G. as two of the five North Carolina's Got Talent winners. Hieu's and Eduardo's artworks will be published in the upcoming Young Exceptional Perspectives (YEP) newsletter. Selected entries will also receive a $25 Visa gift card.

  • 🎨Art is messy…but it sure is a lot of fun! In art with Barbie, students created marbled paper using shaving cream and watercolor paints. 🎨

  • Wednesday was Carnival Fun Day 🎪in the cafeteria. Sno cone🍧 and Popcorn🍿 machines were brought in to make special treats for all! Our dietary staff is the best!

  • 🎨 In Barbie Coble's art class, High School students recycled magazine pages into 3-dimensional works of art. 🎨

  • Announcing the ENCSD Homecoming! Save the Date for Saturday, December 9th. The Hornets will be playing NCSD for their homecoming game. Plus, there will be Alumni basketball games, a Ring Ceremony for the Girls'1983 Championship, and the Hall of Fame induction. Don't miss out!

  • Yesterday we celebrated Boss's Day. We are very grateful for our boss Dr. Michele Handley, School Director. The students made her a beautiful Gian card and the school leadership made a cake! Thank you for being such a great boss Dr. Handley!
