Today, middle school math students practiced calculating speed by participating in a Turkey Drop Challenge. The challenge required students to design two different methods to get their paper turkeys to the ground from a 16-foot drop using only the materials provided. The first part of the challenge was to make their turkeys descend as slowly as possible. They then had to make modifications to get them to drop as fast as possible.  🦃
