Barbie Coble's art students are at it again!  Barbie says,
"Inspired by Siobhan Bells’ illustrations in Ship Shapes written by Stella Blackstone, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade art students used a variety of processes to create these colorful Waterfront Houses by the Sea paper collages. Students tore long strips of tissue paper for the sky in the background. For the middle ground, they used painted paper for the land. Then, they cut squares, rectangles, and triangles from a variety of patterned and textured papers to build those fabulous houses along the shore. Students really enjoyed the crayon texture rubbing process using textured plates with multiple patterns and colored construction paper in a variety of cool colors to create the sea in the foreground. And, what about those sailboats? WHOA!"
