The NC Farm to School Art Contest invites public school students in Kindergarten through fifth grade to create artwork that highlights North Carolina agriculture. Each year, selected winning artworks are featured in the NC Farm to School Calendar.
This year, the NC Department of Agriculture received more than 3,500 entries from 58 counties across the state. With only 13 winners selected, the judges certainly had a difficult task!
While one of our three ENCSD student submissions was not selected as one of the 13 statewide winners, I am proud to share that two of our students received Honorable Mention recognition. This is a wonderful accomplishment and quite an honor, considering the large number of entries submitted from across North Carolina.

We are so proud of all three students who represented ENCSD in this year’s competition, and we look forward to submitting artwork again next year.
