πŸ’šπŸ’› Deaf Awareness Week: Role Model Day πŸ’›πŸ’š

Thursday was Role Model Day at ENCSD, and our high school students had an inspiring opportunity to learn from Deaf professionals about careers and their futures! 🌟

As part of our β€œDEAF-initely Careers” event, presenter Gay Joyner spoke with students about the many career opportunities available to Deaf individuals and the importance of setting goals, building skills, and creating your own future.

Students had the opportunity to learn about careers in a variety of fields, including! They also gained valuable insight into the workplace and discussed the importance of preparing for job interviews and pursuing their career goals.

Having Deaf professionals share their experiences and expertise gives our students the opportunity to see what is possible and envision themselves succeeding in their own careers. Their stories demonstrate the power of opportunity, inclusion, and empowerment. πŸ’ͺ🀟

A special thank you to Gay Joyner, our Deaf professionals, and the teachers and TAs who helped make this meaningful experience possible!

At ENCSD, we believe our students deserve to see Deaf role models who inspire them to explore, learn, connect, and succeed! πŸ’šπŸ’›
