ENCSD wishes you and your family the best, this holiday season!
Update We added couple more photos!
Yesterday was the first day of Spirit Week the theme was Holly Jolly Hat day we got a photo of some of the staff: Faith, Barbie, and Tammy.
ENCSD's inclement weather activities include spending time shooting pool, air hockey and Foosball, watching closed caption TV, or just relaxing in the company of other students and staff.
At ENCSD, an inclement weather day looks a lot different for our residential students. They get to engage in fun activities throughout the day.
Update 4:40pm Monday 12/8
Good afternoon, students, families, and staff,
With temperatures expected to continue dropping this evening, the likelihood of black ice is high. Because temperatures will not rise above freezing until around noon tomorrow, we will not have school tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec 9th).
We were honored today when a representative of Congressman Don Davis's office presented our school with a congressional record of the congressman's speech. The record was accepted by our superintendent Cheryl Iannucci. Mr. Davis spoke to the U.S. House of Representatives about education and Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf.
"...education must ensure that every child has a chance to live the American dream."
