On Saturday, September 26, 2026, Gallaudet University will host Rising Stars Day, a FREE event designed specifically for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students in grades K–12 and their families from across the DMV region. This special event gives young students the opportunity to experience Gallaudet University while discovering the many possibilities that exist in both academics and athletics. Please share this event with your parents and families.
Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to:
Watch Gallaudet University's football and volleyball teams compete.
Meet current Deaf and Hard of Hearing student-athletes.
Learn about academic opportunities available at Gallaudet.
Participate in fun, family-friendly activities.
Connect with other Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and families.
Enjoy complimentary snacks and refreshments.
At Gallaudet, we believe every Deaf and Hard of Hearing child deserves the opportunity to see successful role models who share similar experiences. Rising Stars Day is designed to help students envision a future where they can excel academically, compete athletically, become leaders, and achieve their dreams.
