Department HeadMelissa C. Paderick, PHR, Human Resources Director
Melissa Paderick serves as the Eastern NC School for the Deaf, Human Resources Manager providing over 25 years of HR Generalist experience to the school. Her areas of subject matter expertise include employee relations, recruitment and retention, performance management, classification and compensation, organizational management, full employee life-cycle support, HR compliance, and guidance on federal and state employment law compliance. Ms. Paderick serves as the Educational Services for the Deaf and Blind Residential Schools HR Team Lead providing consultation and guidance to the Gov. Morehead School and the NC School for the Deaf HR departments. Ms. Paderick is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) with a Professional Human Resources (PHR) designation/certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI).

Human Resources provides guidance and interpretation on all NC OSHR Policies, NC DPI Policies and ESDB Policies and Procedures.
